Leigh started taking American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance in the Summer of 2008 with Anna Nummelin and quickly fell in love with this beautiful art form. She decided to pursue higher education in ATS not long after….not that it was even a choice at that point. In November of 2009 she obtained her ATS General Skills Certificate and in August of 2010 she obtained her ATS Teacher Training Certification from Carolena Nericcio founder of Fat Chance Belly Dance. She has also had the pleasure of studying various other styles of belly dance with Ariellah (gothic fusion), Jill Parker (tribal fusion), and Sharon Kihara (tribal fusion). Leigh is one of the founding members of the only ATS troupe located in Florida: Melodic Mousai. She has shared the stage at Spirit of the Tribes in Fort Lauderdale with such renowned artists as Anasma, Rachel Brice, Ariellah, and Tjarda. Her classes at Temple Arts include a Level 1 & 2 ATS Class and a Level 3 ATS Class. So ladies get ready to learn a fun, challenging, and improvisational dance style with your fellow dance goddesses and be ready to create some magic!
