Bio
Everlea Patricia Bryant has been a dancer for 20 years. She holds a degree
in Dance Performance from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and
has also trained at prestigious schools such as New York's Alvin Ailey
School and south Florida's own New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL.
She has been trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, West
African and Afro-Caribbean Dance as well as classical and contemporary
Modern Dance techniques. She is also certified in Zumba.
Ms. Bryant has been a Pilates lover since early in her college days at the
University of Florida. While in school she studied the well known STOTT
Method of Pilates. Ms. Bryant is certified through Evolve Pilates and
Fitness in Gainesville, FL.
"My first love is dance, and through that method of movement I developed a
profound love and respect for the human body. I'm captivated by what a body
can achieve through hard work, persistence, and conditioning. Pilates was a
natural addition to my passion and has become a new mode of expression for
me. My goal is to share my love of movement with everyone I teach, and to
help convey to each person that with motivation they can attempt and
eventually perform movements that may have previously seemed impossible for
them."
In addition to her dance and Pilates accomplishments, Ms. Bryant also holds
certifications in Arts and Healing (using the performing arts to bring hope
into the lives of those limited by immobilizing health and physical
conditions) and Sports Nutrition, and is currently pursuing certifications
in Yoga and Personal Training, which will be completed in September 2009.
She is also the Artistic Director of our Jade Dance Program (Junior Artists
Dance Enrichment). |
